Sara Flower, Alisal Ranch fitness instructor
Sara Flower
Fitness Instructor

Sara Flower has been practicing yoga since the 90’s when she was introduced to Steve Ross in Los Angeles. Her practice has sustained her through multiple moves and has opened her eyes to various forms of yoga from Jivamukti to Iyengar, Ashtanga to Hatha. In 2010 she decided to take the next step and become a 200-hr RYT through YogaWorks in New York City. Since then, she has taught all over in faraway places such as an avocado farm in Guatemala, a kibbutz in Israel, a rooftop farm in Brooklyn and now back in CA. She is motivated by functional movement and mobility and her playful and sometimes challenging practice has her students always coming back for more.

When Sara isn’t teaching you can find her training horses, herbal crafting or spending time with her family.

Power Yoga Flow

Power Yoga Flow

Yoga Flow is a powerful, energetic form of yoga. This is a vigorous, strength-based class, working the body to the core, building flexibility, and endurance. Weaving together wisdom teachings and music can inspire physical, energetic, mental, intuitive, and blissful states of consciousness. All levels welcome.

Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga & Gentle Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga includes breathing practices, yoga postures and techniques that will address the particular needs of each person.  Each class is influenced by restorative yoga, yin yoga and integrative yoga.  The intent is to leave class feeling better and having learned something new that can be helpful in your life.  No yoga experience is necessary…just an open mind and heart.

By opening our body, mind and heart, yoga can have profound effects.  In Gentle Yoga we’ll explore ways to do just that by softening the restrictions in the physical body.  That can be achieved through holding poses longer, focusing on the connection to the breath and being gentle with ourselves.  Each class will include seated, standing and reclining poses all designed to create a transformative experience.  All levels are welcome.

Strength & HIIT

Strength & HIIT

Improve muscle strength, power & endurance in this high-intensity, circuit-style training class. Challenge different muscle groups, increase your cardiovascular fitness, push your limits and walk out feeling elated. Cool down includes yoga-like stretches.

The spirit of adventure.

At Alisal Ranch, we start each day with an unrelenting curiosity—and we invite you to do the same. There’s no better place to connect with the passionate, pioneering spirit, or to spend meaningful moments with friends and family. Take the road less traveled, breathe a little deeper, feel the power of nature, and dream under the stars.
