This May, Alisal Ranch welcomes celebrated interior designer and tastemaker Nathan Turner for an intimate design gathering inspired by The Turner House chapter of his new book, Nathan Turner’s I Love Decorating – a collection of interiors, entertaining traditions, and California country lifestyle inspiration featuring Alisal Ranch itself.

Known for his relaxed yet refined approach to decorating, Turner’s work captures the essence of the California lifestyle aesthetic: layered textiles, collected antiques, and homes designed to be lived in and shared. This event invites guests to experience those ideas not only on the page, but in person.

Guests are encouraged to arrive May 12th to settle into the rhythm of the ranch and enjoy time to explore – from the iconic Wednesday breakfast horseback ride to the historic Adobe, to a round of golf, a relaxing spa treatment, or simply quiet moments beneath oak trees and wide open skies.

On May 13th, guests will gather for cocktails inside the Turner House, the guest room personally designed by Nathan and featured in his book. The evening continues with a private lakeside dinner, where Nathan hosts a beautifully styled table and shares a firsthand look at how his ideas move from printed page to lived-in space.

The package is available for one or two-night stays and includes ranch accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, hosted cocktails, and a gift bag with a signed copy of Nathan Turner’s I Love Decorating.
