Leave the noise behind and spend a weekend where the only thing on your schedule is exceptional golf, bold flavors, and great company. Westward is a one-of-a-kind experience for men who appreciate well-struck drives, fine spirits, and conversations that last longer than your backswing.

This year, we’re handing the reins to Josh Temple — TV host, actor, licensed contractor, and lifelong golf addict. With a single-digit handicap for over 40 years and host of The Clubhouse, House Crashers, America’s Toughest Jobs and more, Josh brings the energy, insight, and humor to match every moment. He’ll be at the center of this unforgettable few days — on the course, at the table, and around the fire.

The experience begins on Friday, February 27th, with optional early arrival for those looking to sneak in a round of golf, relax at the spa, or explore the ranch by horseback before the official kickoff. Check-in opens at 3 p.m., and by 5:30, we’ll gather for a curated spirits tasting and cocktail hour led by John Campbell, Master Distiller of Sespe Creek Distillery. It’s a warm welcome with a strong pour, setting the tone for the evening ahead. Dinner follows at 6:30, where ranch-forward flavors and fireside conversations mark the beginning of something truly memorable.

Saturday, February 28th, is all about the game. After breakfast on your own schedule, we hit the course at 10 a.m. for 18 holes on Alisal’s exclusive, guest-only golf course — a beautifully rugged layout that winds through oak-dotted hills and rolling terrain. Whether you’re out to compete or just enjoy the walk, it’s golf at its purest. In the late afternoon, we’ll transition from fairways to cigars and cocktails, with a live demonstration by El Canito Cigars. These Cuban-style masters will hand-roll a variety of premium blends on-site, sharing the craft and tradition behind each one. As the sun sets, settle in for a dinner prepared by Chef Kevin Meehan and Chef Erik Sandven, a pairing of culinary talents that promises a meal as bold and satisfying as the rest of your day.

We’ll wrap things up on Sunday, March 1st, with a final breakfast and one last optional round of golf for anyone looking to squeeze every moment out of the weekend.

Meet Your Host

Josh Temple

With a career that spans TV, construction, and a lifelong love of golf, Josh Temple is the ultimate host for a weekend like Westward. A seasoned actor and television personality, Josh has appeared on hit shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Will & Grace, and has hosted major series for HGTV, NBC, and Discovery, including House Crashers, Disaster House, Flipping the Block, Beach Flip, and America’s Toughest Jobs.

But when he’s not in front of the camera or building homes in Los Angeles, Josh is chasing birdies. A passionate golfer since childhood, he’s played courses all over the world and maintained a single-digit handicap for over 40 years. He even brought his love for the game to the screen as host of The Clubhouse for three seasons. Josh brings sharp wit, easygoing energy, and a deep appreciation for a perfectly played round — the ideal combination for this one-of-a-kind experience at Alisal Ranch.

Chef Kevin Meehan
Owner & Chef, Kali & KOAST

Chef Kevin Meehan is the acclaimed chef-owner behind two of Los Angeles’ standout restaurants: the Michelin-starred Kali and the newly opened KOAST in Hollywood (2025). With a deep-rooted passion for contemporary Californian cuisine, Meehan is dedicated to sourcing the finest seasonal ingredients from local farmers and ranchers, a commitment that has earned him ongoing recognition in LA’s vibrant culinary scene. Originally from Long Island, Meehan honed his craft at Johnson & Wales University and in renowned kitchens across the U.S. and Europe before making his mark in LA at iconic establishments like L’Orangerie, Bastide, and Patina. In addition to his restaurants, he operates a successful catering company, bringing his signature style to private events across Southern California. Outside the kitchen, Meehan is an avid golfer and spends as much time as possible on the greens. He also cherishes time with his family at their Culver City home and is a passionate supporter of Chelsea FC.

John Campbell
Master Distiller - Sespe Creek Distillery

Hailing from the iconic whisky island of Islay, John Campbell is a renowned figure in the spirits industry, with over 30 years of experience managing boutique distilleries and globally recognized whisky brands. His deep-rooted connection to the heritage of Scotch whisky is matched by his extensive expertise across multiple regions, including Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia. This gives him a deep understanding of international markets and the complexities of global operations. Throughout his distinguished career, John has led cross-functional team-working across Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, consistently delivering operational excellence. His unique ability to blend tradition with innovation has resulted in consistently developing award-winning whiskies and brands while ensuring that the craftsmanship and legacy of Scotch whisky remain intact. John’s vision has been instrumental in driving growth and brand development, solidifying his reputation as an authority in the world of whisky.
